Family Membership - includes all people residing in one house or apartment.
Couple Membership - a household that consists of only 2 people, both of whom are at least 18 years old.
Single Membership - a household that consists of only 1 person.
Silver Barracudas - households who have been members of Brandywine for at least 25 years.
All memberships include the following at no additional charge:
- out-of-town house guests who are visiting for 2 weeks or less. A pool member should accompany the houseguests on their first visit and have the guards note the status of these guests on their Admittance Sheet. (House guests who are visiting for a longer period should be listed on the membership form; if this results in a change in the membership level, e.g. from "Couple" to "Family", then the extra dues should be paid.)
- extended vertical family members (i.e., grandparents/parents/children/grandchildren), provided the extended family members do NOT maintain a separate household in the Fairfax/Burke area. (Exception is for extended family who will use the pool ONLY while visiting people in the member household, and only in the company of at least one person from the member household.)
We regret that we cannot pro-rate membership dues for members who are unable to use the pool for a portion of the summer. However, membership dues are pro-ratable for people who move into or out of the area during the pool season. The pro-rated amount begins or ends on the date of the move. If you are in this category, please contact the Treasurer for your exact dues amount.
Membership Information
Returning members are expected to pay an annual maintenance
fee or contribute volunteer hours to the pool. The maintenance fee has been added to the returning member fees below. The
fee is refundable at the rate of $10/hour, up to $50.
Due to insurance requirements, all payments and forms must be turned in before admittance. Checks may be sent to “Brandywine Swim Club” at 9537 Helenwood Dr., Fairfax, VA 22032.
