All members and guests must abide by the rules of the pool and the authority of the guards.

These regulations were developed to assure the safe and sanitary operation of the pools. Situations which are not covered specifically by a regulation will be handled at the discretion of the pool managers and will be reported to the Operations Director. Member questions or complaints should also be directed to the pool managers or the Operations Director. The regulations may be revised at any time by the Operations Director subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board meetings are held once a month. Members are invited to attend, but they should alert a Board member in advance if they have an agenda item. A list of the current Board members is available at the front desk and on this web site.

Admission Policies

1. Dues must be paid prior to admittance.
2. Each member must register prior to being admitted to the pool area. Members will provide their membership number on the sign-in log.
3. Guests must be accompanied by a pool member and must complete the Guest Registration information each time they come to the pool. Each guest is limited to 10 visits per pool season, unless accompanied by an adult pool member.
4. Residents of Olde Forge and Surrey Square may not be guests, unless they are members in good standing of another neighborhood pool. However, they may attend pre-arranged parties if invited.
5. Guest fees must be paid at entry:
$ 8 for an individual, one day only ($5 if paid by adult, not child, pool member)
$ 4 for anindividual after 6 PM ($2.00 if paid by adult pool member)
$30 for a 10-visit/guest pass (must be obtained from Treasurer)
Any member or guest who knowingly avoids the guest fee process or uses a false name, will be required to leave the pool property for the day. The Board may institute additional loss of pool privileges for repeat offenses.

6. Members running a child care service in their homes will not be able to bring the children they are caring for to the pool unless the children’s families are also members of the pool.
7. If a baby-sitter is used frequently and consistently, he/she should be added to the member’s file with baby-sitter after the name. That person would be admitted only in a baby-sitting role. Occasional baby-sitters are subject to a guest fee.
8. To avoid possible under-staffing, members bringing a group of 10 or more guests (e.g., birthday, soccer parties) must arrange in advance for a date and time, and must pay a fee and deposit. Booking such arrangements is first come/first served. Unless they are exceptionally large, group parties are not guaranteed exclusive use of any area and may have to share the facilities with other parties.
9. Out-of-town house guests and extended vertical family members (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren) are not charged guest fees. If these people are not listed on the membership, the member must register them at the desk as a non-paying guest.
10. Until 6:00 PM, all children under 10 must be escorted into the pool area and supervised by a person 13 or older. Children between 10 and 13 must pass the guard’s swim test to enter the pool area by themselves. After 6:00 PM, all children under 13 must be escorted and supervised by an adult 16 or older.
11. Parents, when at the pool, are responsible for the behavior of their children, and hosts are responsible for their guests. Responsibility is not to be left up to the guards.

When Benched, the individual will have to sit on a designated bench or chair - alone - for up to 30 minutes. (If the individual chooses to leave the Club property instead, he/she will not be permitted to return that day.) Individuals who are Benched 3 times within one week will be expelled from the pool. Guests who are expelled as a result of Benching will be barred from the pool for the remainder of the season. Members who are expelled as a result of Benching will be barred from returning for one week. Parents will be notified by the managers when their child is expelled; the parents must discuss the problem with a Board member before the child will be able to return. Repeated disregard for these rules will be grounds for permanent expulsion (with no refund of dues).
